The day in 50 seconds
Fiddling around with time-lapse from still images. This is from Saturday — a gray, rainy morning followed by sun and clouds and finally the sun setting over the ridge. Some Photoshopping of the individual images — especially early and late in the day. But you can see how the changing light affects how the garden and ridge look, for example with the backlighting of the grasses toward the end of the day.

It’s official. It’s fall. The signs are everywhere.
I can’t wait to add some fall pix to my time-lapse stack.
Love the way this hybrid hazelnut colors up next to the driveway.
The ornamental grasses are coming into their own.
More colchicum. Looks like I have four decent patches, three different varieties.
Aconitum (monkshood) finally flowering, a sure sign of fall.
Elephant ears starting to lose their chlorophyll, with a little backlighting.
