Had a little time to fiddle with time-lapse videos today. Long story short: Closer, faster. The same views cropped in closer and sped up.
Learned three things: While I like the wide landscape videos, next season I think I’ll focus in closer on particular areas. I need more bulbs for early-season interest. (I crammed a lot in those beds this fall.) And I need to get Fred and Jade to cooperate more to get them in to more images.

Hope everyone has a safe and prosperous new year.
I love looking back on photos throughout the year—it really shows the progress, instead of the one inside your head that makes you think you really didn’t do a whole lot.
Thanks for the beautiful garden photos this year! Happy 2010!
Happy New Year!
I thought of you this morning when I came across the site below – scanned images of tulips that were exquisite! I thought you might enjoy the work (if you haven’t seen it already):

Wow, those are amazing! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us!
Bravo, Craig! Misti’s right that, besides being sheer wonderment to look at, the video is a great reminder of what the garden does and I so easily forget. I like the wide angle but think you’re on to something with a detail view, too. Love it when the ghost pooches appear. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Happy 2010!
I’ve watched the first video twice and loved it each time. Just beautiful!
