Cornell’s president, David Skorton, spent Friday touring the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and learning more about what we’re up to. At the end of the day, he ended up at our greenhouses to hear about our flower bulb research, among other efforts. While I was waiting for him to arrive, I shot these tulip pictures.
There was much discussion of the last one. Love it? Hate it? What do you think?
This is a good example of a flower that I don’t really ‘see’ until I photograph it. It’s easy to overlook until you get a good close look at it.
I’ve been reading Elizabeth Lawrence’s Little Bulbs as an alternative selection for the April/May Garden Bloggers Book Club. I’m thinking maybe folks should grow more of these.
