From last night …

Backyard panorama
I don’t take a lot of long shots. They reveal too much of my haphazard design. (The crop tool is my friend.) But this morning things looked pretty good, so I awkwardly stitched together this panorama.
Sunday quote, Living sculpture at Olympic gardens
If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn.

Speaking of hard to grow … Hat tip to Carol at May Dreams Gardens for pointing out this video of the Beijing Olympic Gardens. Better quality stills here.
In case you’re concerned about Biden
17-second clip of Biden taking Ashcroft to task at Senate torture hearings in 2004.
Biden’s son is due to deploy to Iraq.
Longer clip provides context. Biden kicks in ~4:30.
Tough-to-shoot plants
Some nice light last night, so I tried to shoot some plants that I’ve found hard to shoot. Like some humorous stories, with certain plants, you just have to be there.
Molinia ‘Skyracer’ (I think. Could be ‘Skywalker’.)
Polygonum amplexicaule ‘Firetail’
Malva errrr Hibiscus moscheutos
