Interestingly, my Iris reticulata are just NOW blooming in my Virginia garden. I might have thought (if I didn’t see them for myself) that mine would be ahead of yours, since my zone 7 garden is a bit warmer than yours. There are so many mysteries we may never know the answers to…;-)
