Just a few shots from Minns Garden outside my office Saturday morning. I’m trying to get used to a new operating system on my home computer (Linux/Ubuntu) and the Gimp (I didn’t choose the name) image editor. So far, it works pretty good. But it will be awhile before I’m comfortable with it.
More fiddling with backlighting, which isn’t easy when it’s getting close to noon.
Lord I love coneflowers, especially the straight species, the one that doesn’t die out in my garden; but I’m not sure if that’s what you have pic of here… looks too purple, not faded enough. Anywho, nice.
Is that coleus in the last photo? It looks like the Giant Judy I have in my garden, but yours is lovelier.
Yes, that’s coleus back there. I have no clue what it is. I doubt it’s labeled. There are a whole bunch of nice coleus scattered around that garden. I’ll have to go shoot them all some day. Would make an interesting post — especially if I find that they’re all marked.
