Lippanzer stallions and lawn fertilization on Martha Stewart via Huffington Post.
I’ll admit it: I have a friend who occasionally passes along Martha Stewart Living magazine. Everything in it is well done and there are always a few articles that I really enjoy.
That was funny. At least Martha laughed on camera. Who knows what she did off camera? I don’t buy her magazine, but if a copy crosses my path, I’ll browse through it. – Carol at May Dreams Gardens
Yeah… I have a thing for Martha, too. Anyone who loves Halloween as much as she does can’t be all that bad, right?
The guy/farm who first brought the Lippizans to the US (in the 50s) is in Lake County. Right across the street from my old place. Every Saturday in summer they do a Mozart thing.
These horses are unbelievable… just unbelievable. Beautiful. Powerful. Graceful. Balanced. WOW.
They are born dark (usually black) and then begin to “grey” with maturity. (All grey horses are born dark.)
You can stand up on these horses and let them run, full out. They are so smoothly gaited… what a carriage!!!!
I’ll always love American Quarterhorses… but these Lippizans… WOW.
I like Martha. God forbid she should try and bring a little style and elegance to us Americans.
