Oh, and congrats on the prize.

Al Gore lives on my street,
Three-twenty-something, Lynwood Boulevard.
And, he doesn’t know me
But I voted for him. Yeah, I punched the card!

I don’t know how he lives with knowing,
That even though he won the popular vote
He still lives on my street, right down the street
From me.

One time, I had a bike
And I was a kid, and someone stole it from me
And still I’m mad about that,
Carrying anger, I just can’t let it be.

I need to be more forgiving, I know it,
‘Cause even with the popular vote,
Al Gore lives on my street, right down the street,
From me.

One time I lost out on a job
‘Cause this kid, his father owned the whole company
Let me tell ya he was a jerk
And I’m still pissed he took that job from me

Life isn’t fair, don’t tell me I know it
‘Cause even with the popular vote
Al Gore lives on my street, right down the street
From me

Al Gore lives on my street, right down the street from me
President Gore lives on my street, right down the street from me

[Al Gore:] Hey man, I like your song. But you need to get over this stuff. Hey this is a great neighborhood.

  1. Thanks for the song, Craig—that was great!

Think he’ll change his mind and run? I know a whole bunch of people who will go totally nuts (in a good way!) if he does. Me included 🙂

  2. Craig – a bunch of Atriots want to send Our Al a nice Noble Fir. Whom do you recommend in Nashville to handle the delivery and the digging?
    .

  3. I’m honored to be asked by an Atriot. How’d you find me?

I’m not an expert on plants for Central Tennessee. But I’m wondering if a Pacific Northwest tree would be the best pick over something native to the area? Not sure how Noble Fir would do there.

Why don’t you contact the folks at Nashville Natives http://www.nashvillenatives.com/index.html and see what they suggest. Anyone else out there have ideas for what would be a fitting tree for Al?
