A few pix I shot last weekend for Garden Bloggers Bloom Day, but never found time to get online.
Snowcapped monarda.
Moonscape.
Alternative take of snowcapped monarda from earlier in the morning.

Beautiful photos! We were in the area last weekend and found many photo ops! Sometimes bad weather is a good thing!
Ha! I love the Monarda pics…especially the first one, they really do look like they have little beehive hairdos!
love the bee-balm with the beehives. (ps – definitely one of my favorite plants!!)
So pretty, and I miss those frosted trees on a winter’s morning.
A+ on that first photo–now serving as my desktop background. Minutes ago I was outside studying my Monarda stalks and trying to decide if I should finally cut them down. I didn’t, because I love them year-round. Maybe some day we’ll have another big snow here in DC so I can also have beehives on my bee balm.
