Time lapse I pulled together this week from pix of our Art of Horticulture class building a sod sofa outside Roberts Hall on the Cornell University Ag Quad on Tuesday. Read more about it.

There is no room for the sod coffee and end tables!
Cool. I am about to put in my gardens in my new house so the actual manual labour part I can relate to.
What a rarity, a horticultural happening with not a gray head in the bunch. Very exciting to see kids getting acquainted with the business end of a shovel.
What about soem floor lamps? If your class is ever in Nebraska, stop on by and build me a sod house.
Denise:
Seeing projects like this gives me hope for the future of horticulture.
Benjamin:
A couple of potted brugmansias with their dangling blossoms would have worked well as pseudo-floor lamps, don’t ya think?
Thanks for the entertaining video. From time to time over the next year I wish you would post a picture of how the sofa looks.
When I was in that area for another event a week or so ago, it still looked pretty good. And it was great to see students and others hanging out around it and sitting there with their laptops and cell phones and sometimes even talking to each other.
