March bloom day scans
In reverse order. (I am reminded that often less is more.) Eranthis warmed inside to open. Begonia and forced tulips from Hortus Forum, Cornell’s undergraduate horticulture club. Thanks, as usual, for Carol for hosting at May Dreams. More scans here. Flower scanning directions are here.
Signs of spring
Sunday walk-around
Drizzly Sunday morning. Good weather for some somewhat-soft shots of what’s going on around the garden these days.
I tend to take the asters that grow in the ‘unmanaged’ areas for granted. But occasionally I spot one that’s ‘garden-worthy’.
The bed where I have all my colchicums (from Cold-Climate Kathy and other places) has filled in a lot. I’ll rationalize that I like them better when you have to look for them, rather them coming up ‘nude’ with nothing by mulch around them.
The veggie garden border, still my favorite — what with the grasses and the bottles.
Cerinthe in a pot finally starting to bloom.
A cyclamen I’d totally forgotten about.
And I’ve forgotten genus and species on this one. It’s still cheery.
