Easter up close

When you don’t have much going on in the garden, you can always move in close and make the most of what you’ve got.

I was hoping that Iris histrioides ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ would make an appearance today. Close, but not quite. Here’s the same plant in flower last year.

  1. That frost looks just like white feathers to me. I wouldn’t want any of it in my garden at this point, but it’s awfully pretty in close-up.

  2. Wow… those aconites look so pretty and full up close that they almost look like they could be fakes! Too perfect. 🙂

    Your unknown plants there look pretty cool as they come up and sprout, whatever they may be. I hope you show more pics of them later when they finally do emerge.
