It had really gotten out of hand.  But now the oats and peas I put on the garlic beds two or three weeks ago look great and I cleaned up some bed that were in &#8216;weed cover crop&#8217; mode and planted some fall greens. Helianthus &#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"images\/20090823helianthusx1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/20090823helianthusx500.jpg\" alt=\"saturday walkaround pix\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rudbeckia &#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"images\/20090823rudbeckiax1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/20090823rudbeckiax500.jpg\" alt=\"saturday walkaround pix\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Rudbeckia laciniata<\/em> \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcHortensia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 (Outhouse Plant, Golden Glow).  The deer hit them pretty hard this year, for the first time.
