{"id":460,"date":"2008-09-02T16:42:49","date_gmt":"2008-09-02T23:42:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.remarc.com\/craig\/?p=460"},"modified":"2008-09-02T16:42:49","modified_gmt":"2008-09-02T23:42:49","slug":"more-purples-and-violets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ellishollow.remarc.com\/?p=460","title":{"rendered":"More purples and violets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last weekend or two, I&#8217;ve realized once again that I seem to have an attraction for purples and violets.  <strong>Click images for larger view.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"images\/anemone_budsx1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/anemone_budsx500.jpg\" alt=\"purples and violets\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After telling my country neighbor <a href=\"http:\/\/travelinbride.wordpress.com\/\">Lynn<\/a> not to get her hopes up about anemones (due to my experiences with them as deer candy), a couple of forgotten plants snuck out of the thicket and started blooming.  Am hoping all those buds break before bambi finds them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"images\/anemone_violetx1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/anemone_violetx500.jpg\" alt=\"purples and violets\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another hibiscus coming into flower in the bog garden.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"images\/violet_hibisx1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/violet_hibisx500.jpg\" alt=\"purples and violets\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A sedum (spp. unknown) in a trough out front.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"images\/sedum_troughx1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/sedum_troughx500.jpg\" alt=\"purples and violets\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And of course there are still coneflowers blooming, this one a little later in a little shadier location.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"images\/echiniceae_bigger_1x1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/echiniceae_bigger_1x500.jpg\" alt=\"purples and violets\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"images\/echiniceae_bigger_3x1200.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/echiniceae_bigger_3x500.jpg\" alt=\"purples and violets\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last weekend or two, I&#8217;ve realized once again that I seem to have an attraction for purples and violets.
