{"id":373,"date":"2008-04-27T17:18:24","date_gmt":"2008-04-28T00:18:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.remarc.com\/craig\/?p=373"},"modified":"2008-04-27T17:18:24","modified_gmt":"2008-04-28T00:18:24","slug":"100k-daffodils","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ellishollow.remarc.com\/?p=373","title":{"rendered":"100k daffodils"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a HREF=\"images\/nina_daffsx1200.jpg\"><img SRC=\"images\/nina_daffsx500.jpg\" ALT=\"daffs\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Every year when their daffodils peak, Nina Bassuk (faculty member in our Department of Horticulture) and Peter Trowbridge (chair of Landscape Architecture) kindly hold a Sunday brunch for their students, co-workers and friends to come see their gardens.<\/p>\n<p>Why time it to the daffodils?  Because they&#8217;ve planted about 100,000 of them over the years.<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s always much more to see at Peter and Nina&#8217;s (and interesting folks to meet and greet) than just the daffodils. Here are just a few highlights.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got my blue bottle tree and decorations.  Nina and Peter have a new feature with blue pots.<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"images\/blue_potsx1200.jpg\"><img SRC=\"images\/blue_potsx500.jpg\" ALT=\"blue pots\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also new this year is a rebuilt wall.  The old wall that was here and blown out in places had a certain charm.
