I noticed this work, 5 Shovels, by Cal Lane<\/a> in an article<\/a> in this morning’s New York Times. I like her wheelbarrow<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

According to Cal’s website<\/a>, she’s known for “Knockout steel sculptures with a lacy touch. … The artist’s signature Steel Doilies and monumental, ‘crocheted’ I-beams elegantly perforate traditionally masculine realms of art and architecture with feminine craft.” (Sharon Doyle Driedger in McLeans Magazine<\/em>.)<\/p>\n
