Videos: Garden Bloggers’ Design Workshop – Time in a Garden

Hat tip to Nan for hosting this monthly workshop.

I’ve been shooting a series of images this year from two spots, anticipating that sometime over the winter holidays I’d piece together a video using these directions at
eirikso.com.

So consider this a work in progress, as the best is yet to come — especially the colors on the borrowed scenery of the ridge of the west view. (View high-def versions here.)

West view, March 15 to August 15:

Ellis Hollow – Season in 60 seconds (west view) from Craig Cramer on Vimeo.

East view, March 15 to August 15 (Ignore the typo in the title. This one is ~60 seconds too.):

  1. YAY! Looking great, Craig. Happy you’ve stuck with it and excited to see it through the seasons. I wish my herb garden effort had gone half as well.

  2. And, I must tell you. My video of the seasons in Norway have more than 3 million views on YouTube and all the other sites together. In addition to television viewing etc.

Meaning that A LOT of people have contacted me about this video. And hundreds of people have said: “wow, cool – I’m going to do something like this myself”.

But, you’re the ONLY one so far that have actually done something… It takes patience and attention to detail. This looks good so far! 🙂

    Keep up the good work.

  3. If I had a prize for the most creative entry for the Design Workshop, you’d be this month’s winner, Craig. What better way could there be to capture the essence of time in a garden? I’m off to find out how you created these videos; very cool!

  4. I loved watching the seasons in Ellis Hollow…I thought it was a wonderful idea that I must try it. Thank you Craig.

  5. Wow. the ghost dog and the earth breathing in and out. Beautiful. I’m looking forward to you adding in the rest of the year – Autumn through Winter. Given where you live and those trees in the background I bet the Fall is spectacular. I must admit, when I visited your part of the world, coming from my muted palette of Australian colours, I thought North America was too beautiful, too colourful. Still, can’t wait to see it. Thank you.

  6. Dude! Eirik says you’re the ONLY one so far to go to the effort of making a video like this?!?! It’s like being the only hit in a Google search. Or the second hit I guess. Either way it’s stellar. Congrats and keep going 🙂
