Becky in Spain

I like to travel vicariously. (See Nate’s China pix.) This summer, niece Becky is in Spain doing crow research. Even though she’s not a plant person, she sent back pix that make me think I should go live there. Tile roofs. Roses. Old world Mediterranean landscapes.

  1. Tell Becky to pass along any interesting crow discoveries. I have a nice big nest on the edge of my yard and the family spends much time at my bird baths and generally in my yard. I have 4 or 5 stone baths, most on the ground. They bring pieces of bread to them quite often (not sure where they get the bread but I live in a suburban neighborhood with a McD’s about 2 miles away so I’m sure they find plenty of open trash cans or leftovers). They also alert me to the foxes and the hawks. I imagine that I can tell the difference between a crow ruckus over a bath or bread and a crow ruckus over a fox or hawk. I love my crows.
