The grass is starting to green up. You can see that standing up. But when it comes to flowers, it’s still ‘get down on your knees’ season. Here’s what’s showing this morning.
Corydalis solida
Puschkinia Libanotica
A deep purple hellebore.
A tiny (4-inch tall) daffodil that doesn’t show up on any of my invoices.
I have no clue what this is. It’s daisy-like. Suggestions?
The daisy-like fellow looks like Anemone blanda to me. This is my first comment, but I’ve enjoyed your blog for quite some time–keep up the great work!
Your daff may be tete-e-tete – did you buy any forced bulbs at the grocery last year? This is a common one to find as a spring offering, and the greenhouse forcing makes their stems much longer than they are in the garden.
And I concur with anemone blanda. Nice little flower that will seed itself and spread very prettily over time.
Maybe wishful thinking but it sort of looks like anemone canadensis.
Great pictures BTW.
I saw this charmer today while I was talking with Ellie, and I immediately though Anemone blanda too.
