The on-going march of spring ephemerals. And on a phenological note, I forgot the mention that the spring peepers made their first audio appearance last Sunday night.
Happy crocus continue to multiply in my poor excuse for a rock garden.
Crocus clump amid the pachysandra.
Scilla blooms at many stages.
First corydalis blooms.
Real beauties.
Which corydalis is this, Craig?
Which corydalis is this, Craig? (Repeated so I get the follow up!)
I had to ask the kind gardener who passed this plant along to me. She says it’s C. solida.
I really love corydalis, and especially the blues, but none live for me except the yellow (and of those, there are hundreds). Still I keep trying. If this is the straight-up species it may be the same one Marla Palmiter has at the nursery, growing in a mass under a big tree, gorgeous. Some year I will convince her to let me have just one!
The second photo is especially stunning. Thanks for the spring pick-me-up. A~
