More buzzing (I. reticulata)

We’ve had a couple of nice days with temps ~60. Yesterday, dozens of bees were working the Iris reticulata, an invitation to sit down and take some pix:

  1. I’ll have to make a note to buy some of these to plant for my bees next spring. They don’t have much food this time of year, it’s nice that people like you have things for them.

  2. I haven’t seen any crocus or iris reticulata in my garden yet, I’m starting to wonder if they made it through the winter, so I appreciate having them vicariously through other bloggers.

We don’t have honeybees where I live, only bumblebees. I’m kind of glad, they look too much like wasps for my comfort.

  3. Your profusion of blue is wonderful! Buddy and I napped in the sun for a few minutes listening to the bees in the crocus. It’s so nice to see & hear them. Tonight we listened to the peepers in the rain! It’s not frozen anymore!!! And 4 Katherine Hodgkins opened under our windows this morning. Spring is reeaaallllly here!
