Weekend pix

A couple of fare-to-middlin’ frosts. It’s starting to feel like fall, what with moving pots to shelter and bulb- and garlic planting.

Wish I remembered the cultivar on this grass.

My favorite mixed container this year. Looks better now that I pulled it out of the weeds.

  1. The first frosts are usually not too destructive. I like the way first frost enhances many things, such as the dahlia bloom.

  2. Beautiful! Those phlomis are so cool all year long, aren’t they? We were up in the high peaks so missed seeing our garden in frost, but we’ll see it again tomorrow morning. I planted 2 pass-along dahlias late, and the buds haven’t opened–guess we’ll miss them this year.
