Still trying to get a good goatsbeard image. These are better.
And Phlomis looks better from a low angle, if you ask me.

I really love the felty leaves on that phlomis. And those are much better pics of the goatsbeard than I have ever managed! I notice that yours have dark-colored stems, where mine are just regular green… kind of makes yours look a bit exotic (to me.)

Those darker stems are the grape vine growing through the goatsbeard. The goatsbeard stems are smooth and light green — attractive but not contasting.
