This is probably bad to admit, but I heard the Cowboy Junkies version before I ever knew the Lou Reed one. And I loved it–and her voice. Since I heard them out of order, the CJ version remains first in my heart, and the Lou Reed one is more of a charming eccentricity. Terrible, eh?
