Wow. I’ve only racked up 65K, and I think it’s been longer than January. Probably a dozen sneak through for me, too.
Wow. Using the “captcha” (sp?) typed-letters feature has helped, but a few weeks ago I had two sneak through anyway–they were both very long and very weird, especially knowing that there’s really no way to automate them and someone had to copy and paste them on purpose. I just will never understand spamming, and anything else destructive… if only people would use that energy for someone more constructive…

I used to get a lot of spam comments but haven’t received one since I turned on the word verification on blogger. It isn’t great for the people leaving ‘good’ comments but did stop the spam in its tracks.
The thing I don’t like about the verification feature on TypePad is I have to fill it out to post a reply to a comment, even if I’m signed in and have been working on the blog.
Plus half the time I type it wrong 🙂
