Titan arum time lapse

Finally had a chance to pull together a time lapse from the still camera I had running during the titan arum bloom-time at Cornell. We had more than 10.000 people visit (many standing in line for more than an hour) and close to half a million views on livestreams. It was a blast.

  1. Congratulations!
Thanks for posting the video. I was sad to see it drop in the end.

  2. Don’t be too sad. Got a report from the grad students tending it today that it looks (knock wood) like pollination took pretty well and ‘Wee Stinky’ is making babies.

  3. Hey,

Love the blog, you def have a new follower.

I was wondering if you knew what kind of plants are good for heavily shaded gardens? we have a tiny tiny city garden, but it is surrounded by big oak trees which i suspect are sucking the life out of everything, couple that with it not getting an ounce of sun and me being a complete novice, i’ve no idea what to plant in there, everything from last year died.

    thanks for your help!!
