‘Stay-cation’

Pretty low key. Caught up on some weeding and reading. Mowing and putting a new weed-whacker to work. Biggest news was Rosie (Elly’s Airstream) returning from Franks Trailer Works in Baltimore with a new floor and other structural improvements.

Elly got right to work sealing up leaks so she can dive into the wiring and interior rebuild.

(The poochers got way too much attention.)

With Rosie sitting at least 6 inches higher, Jade found a new shady spot to hang out on hot days.

And I took far fewer pix than I thought I would, given all the free time.

  1. I’ve never owned an Airstream, never been in one, will never have one. But I’ve loved them all my life. Just the look of them is romantic. What a great way to vacation. Congrats to everyone for repairing her and keeping her in working order!

  2. Les: Thought that was under the porch? And hey: The wheels are still on it and they’re still on the ground. So we don’t qualify yet.

  3. Spoiled dogs, projects completed, and some time away from the computer sounds like a perfect staycation to me! (And to Fred and Miss Jade, too, I would imagine. 🙂

  4. guess rosie’s no longer in my neck of the woods (or armpit depending on exactly where frank’s trailer workshop is). glad you got her back. the work underneath looks very clean (i’m assuming that sheet metal is new).

  5. I dove into the linked blogs to find out how long you’ve had Rosie but will have to dig deeper. How do I get my husband to stop buying old VW vans and get us an Airstream? Not that we’ve got anything that can tow it. And where’s the M on the back? And please don’t answer any of my silly questions on your staycation. What a fine time you’re all having.
