Bloom day scans – Singles

I usually cram the scanner bed with blooms. But I was in the mood for singles this morning. Thanks, as usual, for Carol for hosting at May Dreams. More scans here. Flower scanning directions are here. Practice up. I’ll be judging the Picture This contest in October. See Nan’s post and scans. Click on images for larger views.

you have some beautiful blooms scans….wow! i’m loving all of them, how do you not get the flowers to be crushed from the scanner lid?

  2. I like the change of scene. The top one especially grabs me. I’ll be curious to see your contest parameters–Nan’s were really interesting. I’m happy they picked you, because this really is different and probably will get people thinking about color and composition in new ways. I tried leaving a comment on GGW but it looks like the post is closed. (me, alas, still scanner-less, so I will enjoy the show from here.)

  3. noel: I don’t close the lid. Helps to have darkish room. You can also put a black cloth behind the plants. Or another color if you want. Give it a try.

  4. Craig, My Russian colleague was admiring your calendar on my office wall, which inspired me to come take a look at your new stuff. As usual, wow! Cheryl
